Salling Software AB on Wednesday released Salling Clicker v2.0, a new version of their Bluetooth remote control software for Macs.
Previously, Salling Clicker has been limited to use with some Sony Ericsson mobile phone models (T39m, T520m, T68m, T68i and T610 systems specifically). Salling Clicker v2.0 adds a new Sony Ericsson model — the T616. What’s more, the new version can now work with Bluetooth-equipped Palm Tungsten T PDAs.
The software has also improved its application support. Salling Clicker can show iTunes users where they are in a song, for example, or what song is playing. Slide notes in PowerPoint are now shown on the display of your phone or PDA in a feature called “live-updating.”
iPhoto support gains additional integration — users can search by date or description, and Palm PDA users can also preview pictures before showing them on a projector.
Proximity sensing gains improvements with “activity awareness” in this version, as well. Clicker can pause iTunes or DVD Player when you pick up your phone to make or receive a call, for example.
Salling Clicker v2.0 is available for download from the Web site and costs US$9.95 for Sony Ericsson phones or $14.95 for Palm PDAs. The Sony Ericsson version is a free upgrade for existing users.
