The Iconfactory on Wednesday offered some information about its forthcoming update to iPulse, the OS X system monitoring utility. The new version currently in development, v2.0, adds more than 30 new features.
iPulse is a system monitoring application that uses a compact and customizable interface to provide Mac OS X users with vital information about how their Mac is working. It measures CPU activity for single and dual-processor Macs; system load; network activity; memory activity and usage; disk usage and other key information.
In addition to new monitoring capabilities in iPulse v2.0, the new version features complete system reporting, mobility gauges, and the addition of skins or iPulse “jackets” that let users customize their iPulse even further.
The Iconfactory plans to increase the registration fee for iPulse from US$9.95 to $12.95 per copy, as well. The new price hasn’t gone into effect yet, however, and the upgrade will be free for registered users.
