MacXware on Wednesday announced plans to release four products for Mac OS X this month: two media editing tools with built-in paint and scripting applications, a screen recording and monitoring device to create training videos and visual tutorials, and a collection of over 1,000 TrueType fonts with a font manager.
The QuickTime compatible MediaEdit Pro is a US$79.99 movie and graphic editing tool that lets you add effects and transitions to your projects; it includes over 100 transitions, effects and filters. You can edit movies, audio and images. MediaEdit Pro also lets you “paint” directly on video and can handle import-export with most digital video cameras.
PhotoEdit is a $29.99 image editing and painting tool that can open and edit most image formats. It lets you tackle mask editing, adjust and change colors, and create custom brushes and effects.
ScreenRecord, which costs $24.99, is a tool for capturing continuous images from your screen as a QuickTime movie. It’s targeted to users who need to create training CDs and visual tutorials — or who need a monitoring solution. ScreenRecord can stream to DV cameras, capture in full screen mode, and save to multiple formats. It has a variety of editing tools and supports fixed, smooth panning or auto panning cameras.
The $29.99 MacFonts collection includes a variety of fonts in such categories as Creative Fonts, Elegant Fonts and Professional Fonts.
