Digital audio/video production software developer Popwire Technology plans to use this month’s IBC trade show in Amsterdam to show off an entirely new software product, along with updates to other software in its library.
The newest addition to Popwire’s arsenal is Compression Master DV. The new shrinkwrapped software package supports DV format video specifically, and it’s designed to support the same standards as Popwire’s Compression Master software.
Compression Master is a desktop video encoder package for Mac OS X that functions either as a standalone product or as part of an automated workflow with Compression Engine, Popwire’s server-based encoder. The new version of Compression Master to be shown off at IBC is v2.1. New features include preview mode, support for 2-pass encoding, MPEG-4 Advanced profile, new and improved filters, optimized performance and a better interface.
The latest versions of Compression Engine and Cluster Framework, a multi-processing coding system aimed at broadcast and telco businesses, will also be on display.
