Vue d’Esprit developer E-on Software has announced Vue 4 Professional, a new version of its 3D scenery creation application aimed specifically at designers and digital video production houses.
The software provides the ability to generate entire natural 3D scenes or just individual objects; the content can be exported to high-end 3D applications like Maya, Cinema 4D and other software. It also features a plant editor that lets users modify existing plant models or create new ones. You can synchronize cameras and lights with other 3D applications.
Vue 4 Professional supports compositing information used by other 3D applications, including all G-Buffer channels, RLA and RPF file format, uses a new OpenGL-based pre-rendering engine for previewing, sports 24 enhancements to camera effects, lighting, shadows, depth of field and more.
What’s more, Vue 4 Professional features “RenderCow,” a Rendezvous-compatible network rendering technology that enables multiple computers to share the load when rendering single pictures or complete animations.
Vue 4 Professional is expected to ship at Apple Expo 2003 in Paris, France later this month. The software will retail for US$599 (with an introductory price of $499). A $299 crossgrade price will be available for Vue d’Esprit 4 users.
