Apple is offering a free online seminar on how to “break through the barriers to digital photography success.” Targeted to professional photographers, the seminar is designed to show how digital photography provides ways to deliver new content and gain greater control over the finished product “while saving time and money.” Participants will also learn how to offer customers keepsakes such as DVD portfolios.
The seminar will focus on Mac OS X, the Power Mac G5, the PowerBook G4, Apple Cinema Displays, ColorSync (Apple’s system-level color management technology), and the Hewlett Packard Photosmart 7550 photo printer. Topics covered will include: how adopting a digital workflow using Apple technologies can increase your revenues and marketability; how to avoid potential pitfalls when you’re first starting out; how to work productively in the field; techniques for increasing color quality; how to acquire, organize, and share images more effectively; and how Mac OS X can improve your workflow. Also promised is “inside information” on the top digital cameras and Apple professional solutions for digital photographers.
Though the seminar is free, you’ll have to register. To participate you’ll need Safari 1.0 (or higher), Netscape or Internet Explorer (4.0 or higher). You must also have QuickTime 6.0 or greater installed.
