Mac game publisher e.p.i.c. Interactive GmbH has released a playable demo version for their recently completed conversion of Northland, a new strategy game.
Recently published for the PC, Northland tells a story inspired by Norse legend, involving the Viking god Loki, who tries to take revenge on Odin for his banishment from Asgard, land of Viking gods, to Earth. Central to the story is heroic Bjarni the Viking. Bjarni has been sent to help his friend Hatschi, whose homeland has been plagued by mysterious serpent creatures who are spreading chaos and destruction throughout the land.
The full version of this adventure strategy game features eight missions, each including several sub-missions. The game includes three different difficulty levels and sports special effects like weather, fog, ghost units and more.
System requirements call for a G3/350MHz or faster; Mac OS X or Mac OS 9; 192MB RAM. The 69MB demo is available for download from Macgamefiles.com.
