Xerox Corp. on Tuesday announced several new products, including a network color laser printer, a desktop monochrome printer and a multifunction device. All are compatible with Mac OS X and Mac OS 9.x.
The US$1,999 Phaser 6250 color laser printer prints at up to 26 pages per minute, is built for networking and can handle resolutions up to 2400 dots per inch (dpi). It’s available in five configurations, based on a variety of options.
Printing at 25 ppm, the $549 Phaser 3450 black-and-white laser printer has 1200 dpi image quality and automatic two-sided printing on two of three available configurations. Features include networkability, a front panel display and a 500-sheet paper capacity.
The WorkCentre PE16 is a basic multifunction device that prints and copies in black-and-white at 17 ppm at 600 dpi resolution, faxes at up to 300 dpi and scans at up to 1200 dpi in full color. It offers manual two-side copying, in which the front and back sides of a document are copied onto the same side of paper. The WorkCentre PE16 comes in a single configuration that costs US$599.
