Prosoniq has introduced Prosoniq morph, a MIDI-controllable, real-time, audio morphing plug-in that runs on Mac OS X and Mac OS 9.x with Cubase 5 or another VST compatible application.
It can be used to create sound morphs between two different input sounds. Prosoniq morph includes 2D control for dynamically morphing between input sounds, 32-bit floating point operation in real time, SOLO functionality, reverb features and automatable parameters. The morphing parameter is controllable via MIDI by an assignable MIDI controller.
Targeted to professional musicians and DJs, Prosoniq morph can be used for such tasks as: morphing transitions when mixing different tracks; creating instruments; shaping existing sounds in certain directions; making mouth-tube effects or speaking instruments; movie soundtrack production; and creating unusual effects by applying reversed drum loops to forward drum loops. It costs US$199; a demo version is available for download.
