Canto is showcasing pre-release versions of the Cumulus line of digital asset management tools running on Mac OS X at this week’s Apple Expo in Paris, France. The company is displaying the Single User Edition of Cumulus, as well as the Cumulus client applications, on Mac OS X.
The OS X compatible versions of Cumulus Client Software, Workgroup and Enterprise Editions, as well as the Single User Edition, will be available at the end of November; prices haven’t yet been announced. The server products and some Cumulus Options such as Web Publisher Pro, Internet Client Pro and HELIOS Companion are already available for Mac OS X.
Canto CEO Jennifer Neumann said that there’s “no doubt that Mac OS X is conceptually better than older versions of the Mac OS” so now is the time for her company to “complete the transition of our products to Mac OS X.”
