Apple technology will abound at the Digital Imaginations
Creative Canvas Expo held at Mt. Sierra College in Monrovia, Calif., from 1-7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27. Hosted by educators, business leaders and technology gurus, the event is touted as Southern California’s premiere showcase for work in graphics, digital graphics and Web design. It’s free to the public.
Mt. Sierra students will demonstrate applications of 3-D animation, motion graphics, digital graphics, Web design and music. Audiophiles will have an opportunity to check out music arranging and editing with demos on Apple’s
Soundtrack and Native Instrument’s Traktor DJ software.
Videophiles will see the latest applications of Apple’s Final Cut Pro 4 and DVD Studio Pro 2 used to master commercial DVDs and create menu graphics and Weblinks. For designers, there will be demonstrations of professional applications for photographic enhancement using Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and Web design using Macromedia Flash.
Apple’s iLife products (iMovie, iDVD, iPhoto and iTunes) and Final Cut Express will also be demoed.
Parasoft, known for its automated error prevention software solutions that eliminate errors in software development, will demonstrate its wares. Additionally, there will be forums in which current trends such as wireless networking and network security will be discussed. What’s more, the Digital Imaginations Creative Canvas Expo will have a Music, Food & Kids Pavilion, Business & Graphic Network and more.
