Apple will open a second retail store in Seattle, Wash., on Friday, Sept. 26. The grand opening of the retail establishment — located at the University Village Mall, 2656 NE University Village Street — will be from 6-10 p.m.
The first 1,000 people to drop by receive a free Apple T-shirt. At 8 p.m. there will be a special acoustic performance by a guest musical artist (whose identify hasn’t been divulged). Apple will also be holding several free educational presentations, demonstrations and workshops. What’s more, football fans may want to drop by the store after the Huskies vs Stanford football game, since Apple will be giving away one free iPod for every point the Huskies score.
University Village Mall is located near the University of Washington campus. The Apple store is located next to the restaurant, the Ram, directly in front of the parking garage and Crate & Barrel. Directions can be found online. Store hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
This will be Apple’s second retail store in the Seattle area. The first opened in May at Bellevue Square Mall in the Puget Sound community.
