Apple’s PowerSchool subsidiary has announced the PowerSchool PowerPack, which offers a variety of teacher, administrator and parent tools for the PowerSchool Student Information System (SIS).
PowerSchool is a Web-based student information system aimed at K-12 schools and school districts of up to 10,000 students. The latest version (3.6) was released in June.
For teachers, the PowerPack includes tutorials on PowerGrade; templates, letters, and reports for PowerGrade; PowerSchool and PowerGrade User Guides; and access to online product overviews of PowerSchool. For administrators it provides: tutorials on form letters, log entries, mailing labels, storing grades, student pages, creating a daily bulletin and more; templates, letters, and reports for PowerSchool; PowerSchool and PowerGrade User Guides; a PowerSchool Codes List that can be used as a reference when using custom screens and reports; and online product overviews of PowerSchool. For parents the PowerPack offers a kit to assist schools in hosting a Parent Night, including a sample letter, brochure, video and parent presentation for those new to PowerSchool.
A PowerPack individual school site license is US$599. School district licenses range from $1,199 (for 0-999 students) to $2,999 (over 3,000 students). The prices are good through Sept. 26.
