Next week WaterField Designs will begin shipping a US$39 SleeveCase model designed specifically for Apple’s new 15-inch Aluminum PowerBook. The SleeveCase is a slim covering made of ballistic nylon and neoprene that envelopes itself around laptops; it can be used by itself, or can be inserted into briefcases, messenger bags, or backpacks.
“The small size increase made from the Titanium PowerBook to the 15-inch Aluminum PowerBook does make a big difference in the fit,” Gary Waterfield, the company’s chief designer, told MacCentral. “Good thing we have our own sewing shop so we can get these turned around right away.”
WaterField’s SleeveCases are built to protect Powerbooks and laptops from normal wear and tear and everyday use. You can create your own SleeveCase look, choosing from a wide variety of sizes to accommodate multiple types of portable computers.
