Mozilla.org has released a new release candidate version (1.5rc1) of Mozilla, its Web browser for Mac OS X. The new version adds a spellchecker for the Mail e-mail component and several changes to Composer, the fully-fledged HTML editor component for writing Web pages.
Mozilla is an open source Web browser, designed for standards compliance, performance and portability. Among the changes to Composer in the latest beta version is better resizing for images, tables and absolutely positioned objects. Also, ChatZilla, Mozilla’s Internet relay chat client, now has support for logging.
Mozilla is freeware from Mozilla.org, the organization that coordinates Mozilla open source development. The organization says that there will probably be one more pre-release version before version 1.5 is finalized.
