Apple Computer has selected Kathy White, an instructional technology specialist for the Rapid City (S.D.) School System, as an Apple Distinguished Educator, according to a Rapid City Journal article.
White works with elementary students and their teachers, helping them use technology with curriculum, the article says. Also, this summer she helped plan and teach a Cyber Camp.
An Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE) is an individual from Pre-K through Post Graduate School and is established in their respective field as an outstanding pioneer. The competitive ADE program recognizes over 240 exceptional educators throughout the world to promote excellence in education through technology. As mentors, the ADEs teach, demonstrate and share their expertise and enthusiasm with others.
