on Monday announced the release of TaskCapture, a personal automated timekeeper for Mac OS X. It offers an automatic task dialog that appears whenever a document in a desired application is closed.
This dialog lets you verify or, if you wish, change the pre-filled time that is shown, as well as assign the work to a client from a drop-down list and add other info about the job. Once you do this for a particular document, TaskCapture “remembers” the info. Data can then be sorted later by client and date range to create a timesheet record. Or, by using an export module, you can send the data to other applications such as QuickBooks Pro.
TaskCapture costs US$49.95; however, a 10-day trial version can be downloaded at the CaptureWorks Web site.
