Ranchero Software has updated NetNewsWire to v1.0.5. NetNewsWire is the company’s RSS Web newsreader for Mac OS X.
The new version fixes bugs, most importantly a problem involving shared cookies with Safari. This fix eliminates crashes and hanging problems reported by some users, according to the developer.
What’s more, the RSS parser has been improved, and user interface bugs and glitches have been fixed as well. A new feature has been added, also: the ability to prefer permalinks to external links when performing an open-in-browser command on a headline.
Details on what’s new in NetNewsWire v1.0.5 have been posted online. Version 1.0.5 is a free update for registered users; a full license for the software costs US$39.95.
