Managing Editor Inc. has updated Roundhouse, the modular ad-tracking system, to version 3.0. The new version runs on Microsoft SQL Server 2000, but client workstations can be cross-platform and mixed among Mac OS X, Mac OS 9, Windows 2000 and Windows XP systems. Plus, Roundhouse now supports ExtremeZ-IP file sharing to facilitate connections between Mac and Windows using AppleShare IP.
What’s more, Roundhouse 3.0 offers three new modules, including a Distributed Workflow module that allows remote sites to share the same ad-tracking database. The Auto-Collection module — based on a status trigger — automatically collects all EPS and PDF files of finished ads to a single designated folder for pagination access. The Proof Notification module offers automatic fax or e-mail notification to let customers and salespeople know when an ad proof is ready for review.
Since Roundhouse is a modular system built to scale from a low-cost option to an enterprise-wide advertising workflow system, you’ll have to contact an MEI representative at (215) 886-5662 for pricing options.
