Willoughton Primary is one of the best equipped schools in the U.K. (in Lincolnshire County), having recently bought a new IT suite and 40 new Macs, the
Lincolnshire Echo reports.
Though the newspaper doesn’t specify what types of Macs were installed, Headteacher Malcolm Beresford is aiming to turn the school into “an exercise book and pencil free zone,” the article says. Figure in the donation of 15 old PCs by GE Europe and the ratio will be two computers for every three students.
“We must be one of the best equipped primary schools in the county, if not the country and it’s all been done without any outside financial help,” Beresford told the Lincolnshire Echo. “We have just made it a priority in the school because we really do believe that computers are the best thing since sliced bread — after teachers.”
