Graphics tablet maker Wacom Technology Corp. has announced two new contests that will award cash and a 40GB iPod to winners: Go Platinum and Go Pro. Both contests celebrate Adobe’s release of Photoshop CS — the newly updated version of Photoshop for the Creative Suite collection.
The Go Platinum contests tasks entrants with creating CD cover-art for the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP). The winning entry will be used for the NAPP’s house band, Big Electric Cat, whose CD will be distributed at PhotoshopWorld West 2004 in San Francisco, Calif.
Go Pro is a “refreshingly uncomplicated photo contest” in which professional photographers are encouraged to submit a photo that they feel is the most compelling. Like the Go Platinum contest, a winner gets $1000 and an iPod.
Details on both contests are available from Wacom’s Web site.
