Apple UK will participate in several upcoming events, promoting Panther, the upcoming revision of Mac OS X and other Apple solutions.
Apple will host a series of seminars at IfraExpo 2003, the annual event for the global newspaper industry that will be held in Leipzig, Germany from Oct. 13-16. The company will demonstrate how Panther and PowerBooks expand the horizons of news-gathering and publishing, according to Macworld UK . Martin Gisborne, Apple creative technology consultant, will discuss mobile Mac solutions for journalists and reporters, while John Zimmerer, worldwide product manager, will host a seminar entitled “Digital Imaging: From Capture to Output with Mac OS X Panther.”
Business development manager Graham Cooper will discuss Panther for publishing professionals, focusing on improved font management and PDF integration. Serge Robe, software product manager, will host a Panther Server event. Adobe’s Creative Suite and QuarkXPress 6 will also be featured in the presentations. At the Oct. 21-23 Digital Solutions OnDemand event in London, Apple will present sessions on Panther at 10:30 a.m. daily, according to Macworld UK . The presentations will be held at the Apple Theatre. Other seminars will look at Apple hardware such as the Power Mac G5, Xserve and Xserve RAID.
Adobe will showcase its products in its own dedicated theater, while Quark will demo QuarkXPress 6. Over 170 companies will be exhibiting at Digital Solutions OnDemand. You can register for a free Fast Track entry badge to the exhibit and all seminars.
Finally, Apple will participate in the Digital Architect Tour, a show targeted to architects, 3D modelers and CAD professionals. In addition to Apple, Adobe, @Last Software, Advent, Graphisoft, HP, Informatix and RealViz will be participating in the tour, which will be held in the following cities on the following dates: London, Oct. 31; Paris, Nov. 5; Rotterdam, Nov. 7; Dusseldorf, Nov. 11; Berlin, Nov. 12; Munich, Nov. 14; Zurich, Nov. 18; Milano, Nov. 20; and Roma, Nov. 21.
