on Tuesday announced its eBeam System 3 Wireless, an interactive whiteboard system designed to work on Macs, PCs, Palm OS or Pocket PC-based handhelds using Bluetooth wireless connectivity.
Using eBeam System 3 Wireless, presenters can capture notes, images and drawings wirelessly as they’re written on a standard whiteboard. The system was developed for education, distance learning, conferencing and other markets.
eBeam System 3 Wireless works with any convention whiteboard. A receiver works in conjunction with sleeves that envelop regular whiteboard markers. The system supports up to an 8 x 4 foot area. Software installed on a nearby computer then translates what’s drawn or written on the whiteboard into data.
Luidia offers eBeam System 3 Wireless for a suggested retail price of US$1,199.95. A list of dealers and resellers is available from the Luidia Web site.
