on Tuesday announced the expansion of its MOJO line with the inclusion of several new portable MP3 players. TDK also noted Mac compatibility for three of the new units, which use USB to connect to Macs or Windows PCs.
The MOJO 256F sports a digital FM tuner, 256MB of internal memory and a slot for an MMC or SD flash memory expansion card. The device can also be used to record voice memos or even record FM radio streams to its internal memory.
It sports a backlit text display, and seven equalizer presets for different musical styles, a user-programmable EQ mode and four playback modes. It also supports up to 20 programmable FM radio presets. The device also includes an iTunes plug-in for transferring MP3 files.
The MOJO 256F includes a single AAA battery (from which it can work up to 12 hours), a USB cable and CD-ROM, along with earbud headphones and a carrying case. Look for it to hit stores this month with an estimated street price of US$189.99.
Also coming this month is the MOJO 128F, which is similar to its 256F counterpart except it only comes with 128MB of internal memory. The Mojo 128F will be available for $139.99.
MOJO X is a “streamlined” model that features 128MB of internal memory, and a drag-and-drop interface that works with the Mac OS. It features five equalizer presets and a user-programmable EQ mode, along with Repeat 1/all and A-B playback modes.
Like the other MOJO models, it runs on a single AAA battery, works for up to 12 hours on a charge, and comes with earbud headphones and a carrying case. The MOJO X hits stores this month for $99.99.
