AOC has released the LM729, a US$395 LCD monitor that’s designed to be “ultra thin”: 15.1 inches wide, 9.1 inches deep, and 15.7-19.9 inches high (depending on the height adjustment). It sports a maximum resolution of 1280×1024 and can handle up to 16.7 million colors.
The LM729 — which is compatible with all Macs equipped with a VGA port — features a variety of adjustability functions, including 25-degree tilt, 70-degree swivel and 110mm height-adjustment. The screen can be rotated 90 degrees for portrait or landscape viewing mode.
There are built-in speakers and a base with a concealed storage tray designed to maximize desktop space. The LM729 can also be wall-mounted with a separate VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association) compatible arm and bracket.
