It’s not built for portability, but when you need to move your Power Mac G5 from one location to another, Willow Design has a G5 Tower carrying case.
Modeled after the company’s G4 tower case, the US$253 G5 Tower Carry Case features three layers of protection: two separate foam layers, plus a corrugated plastic layer. It also sports wrap padded handles, reinforced end handles for lifting or two person carrying, and a padded contoured shoulder strap.
The G5 case’s exterior is made of 600 denier polyester and the interior of 200 denier nylon, both of which are urethane-coated for waterproofedness. A keyboard and accessory compartment is situated above the tower level, and a mesh accessory pocket is sewn into the lid. There’s an outer, clear shipping-label sheath. Luggage feet are riveted through the hardboard bottom of the G5 case to keep it up and off the ground when you want to set the case down.
