Internet Video Magazine is sponsoring its first-ever iMovie contest. Co-sponsored by GeeThree and Bella Keyboards, the contest is open to “all aspiring videographers, or people that just want to have fun creating their own home movies” using Apple’s movie creation software.
To enter, you need to submit a short video (no longer than three minutes) that demonstrates a “creative use of iMovie effects, transitions and titles, according to Mark Shapiro, Internet Video Magazine. Rules, specifications and submission details can be found at the magazine’s Web site.
“We started with an iMovie contest because many of Internet Video Magazine’s writers and contributors utilize Apple and Apple based video editing solutions like iMovie, QuickTime and Final Cut,” Shapiro said.
The winners and top finalists will have their videos featured on the InternetVideo Magazine Web site. The first place winner wins an iPod; second place is worth a complete GeeThree iMovie Plug-in collection; and the person who places third gets to choose a Professional Series editing keyboard with a built-in jog/shuttle controller from Bella (for those who want to move up from iMovie to Final Cut Pro).
