The Iconfactory has released iPulse v2.0, a major upgrade to its system monitoring utility for Mac OS X. The new version adds more than 40 new features to the software, which provides users with details about how their Mac is operating.
New features in iPulse include pop-up windows that show info for the gauge under your cursor; the ability to change the application’s appearance through the use of iPulse “Jackets;” Mobility gauges to show battery power and wireless signal strength; disk activity gauges to show when your disk is being accessed; different modes to display disk and network activity; system hotkeys to show and hide iPulse; and more. What’s more, iPulse 2.0 is ready for Mac OS X v10.3, “Panther,” which will hit store shelves on October 24, 2003.
With the new “Jackets” feature, The Iconfactory is now offering the iPulse Jacket Gallery, an area where iPulse v2.0 users can view and downloaded the latest Jackets for their copies of iPulse. It also links to third-party designers who have created their own Jackets, and a tutorial on Jacket creation.
A free upgrade for registered iPulse 1.x users, iPulse 2.0 is available for download now and costs US$12.95 to register.
