Miglia Technology Ltd. on Thursday announced the release of the US$159 B&W INabler, a black-and-white capture enabler for the company’s Director’s Cut hardware.
Director’s Cut is a Mac compatible PAL/NTSC analog-to-digital video (and reverse) converter that can receive a video signal from the source. It also allows DV editors to export their finished movies to any analog video device, such as VHS tape. Director’s Cut requires no drivers for use and works with any FireWire-enabled Mac running Mac OS X or Mac OS 9.x.
The INabler acts as a bridge between Director’s Cut and a black-and-white video source, such as some medical tools, security video cameras, microscopes and other devices that don’t output a color signal. It comes encased in an aluminium box.
