Salling Software AB has released a new version of its Salling Clicker utility. The new version is available for download from the Web site now, and is a free update for registered users.
With Salling Clicker installed, Mac users can use their Bluetooth-equipped mobile phones or PDAs as remote controls for their Mac. The software provides various hooks to let you run DVDs remotely, operate your iTunes music list, Keynote presentations and control many other Mac applications.
Salling Clicker v2.0.1 adds support for Mac OS X v10.3, “Panther,” which hits store shelves on October 24, 2003. Also supported in this update are Palm OS 4-based handhelds, the new Palm Tungsten T3 and Sony Clié models (included those sold in Japan). New phone models from Sony Ericsson including the Z600, Z608 (Chinese) and T618 (Chinese) are supported, and some performance and user interface issues have been addressed.
Salling Clicker costs US$9.95 for use with Sony Ericsson phones and $14.95 for Palm OS handhelds. An unregistered 30-click trial version is available for download as well.
Salling Clicker works with any Bluetooth-equipped Mac, and requires a Palm OS v4.0 or later handheld with Bluetooth or a Sony Ericsson mobile phone (T39m, T39mc, T520m, T68m, T68i, T610, T616, T618, Z600, or Z608), and Mac OS X version 10.2.6 or greater (including “Panther”).
