Last week MacCentral brought readers news about a special Apple event scheduled for Thursday, October 16, 2003 presumed to be the long-promised introduction of Apple’s iTunes for Windows software. Now word arrives that select Apple Stores will be offering a live satellite broadcast of the event as well.
“This year’s biggest music story is about to get even bigger,” reads the information on Apple’s Web site, mirroring the invitation sent to select journalists last week. “The best keeps getting better. Come to one of these Apple stores Thursday, Oct 16, at 10 a.m. PT to see a live satellite broadcast of this exciting event.”
The invitation-only event is happening at the Moscone West location of San Francisco, Calif.’s Moscone Center, near where Macworld Conference & Expo takes place every January.
Apple retail locations equipped with theater areas will be bringing their customers the event live in stores. Apple Stores selected for the satellite broadcast include locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
