Bodelin Distribution has announced the release of its ProPrompter software for Mac. ProPrompter, developed for use with the Bodelin ProPrompter LCD, enables Macs to act as teleprompters, for use in public speaking engagements, on-camera work, presentations and other venues.
ProPrompter works with Avid iNews or any text files, and supports horizontal and vertical flipping. Backward and forward scrolling speed can be adjusted with the keyboard and mouse, and auto cue points can be set. Users have control over font, styles and sizes, and can display either white text on a black background or black text on a white background. Text can be looked, and you can also activate a full screen view option.
The full ProPrompter LCD Version comes with a mirror system, 5.6-inch LCD, AC power, composite video cable and custom hard shell case. It has a 100mm opening and comes with an 85mm step-down ring. The full kit costs US$1,695. If you’d prefer just to buy the software on its own, you can do so for $60 instead.
ProPrompter works on Mac OS X v10.2 or higher and also supports Mac OS X v10.3, “Panther,” due for release on October 24, 2003. System requirements also call for G3/266MHz or faster processor and 128MB RAM.
