The Mozilla Foundation has updated their Mozilla, Firebird and Thunderbird Internet tools.
Mozilla 1.5 is the latest version of the open-source Web browser that’s Mac OS X compatible. The update boasts improvements to MailNews and Composer and improved tabbed browsing.
Firebird, now up to version 0.7, is a redesign of Mozilla’s browser component, rewritten using the XUL user interface language, and designed for cross-platform compatibility. The update adds the ability to automatically download files to your desktop and the ability to open bookmarks in a sidebar.
Thunderbird, a standalone e-mail client that’s a redesign of the Mozilla mail component, has been revved to version 0.3. The update includes a security fix and a fix for common problems when opening attachments on windows where the open button was coming up disabled.
