Diskology has announced the Disk Jockey, a hardware-based tool designed to facilitate high-speed copies between IDE hard disk drives and much more.
Described as a “Swiss army knife of disk diagnostic tools,” the Disk Jockey mirrors data between two drives, spans two disks to make them look like one logical volume, tests drives at the block level and verifies copied data. The Disk Jockey can also be used to erase hard drives doing a one-pass or three-pass erase.
It also mounts disks on Mac and Windows desktops to be used as standard desktop storage, either through Firewire or USB 2.0. The Disk Jockey works with any size drive that supports Ultra DMA and works without any hardware drivers on Macs or PCs that use native USB or FireWire support.
Look for the Disk Jockey from Diskology’s Web site for US$299.95.
