Iceni Technology Ltd. has released Gemini Solo for Mac OS X. Gemini Solo is a PDF text and image extraction program that doesn’t require the full Adobe Acrobat software to work.
Gemini Solo exports reflowed plain text, HTML, RTF and eBook formats from PDF, TIFF, PNG, EPS and JPEG images. Text can be extracted from pages, article treads, tables, and batches of documents, while images can be exported as Photoshop EPS files with clipping paths and original OPI names when available. It supports Unicode and double-byte characters and offers partial support for Hebrew as well. Gemini Solo supports all versions of PDF.
