on Monday introduced its Forensic Field Kit, developed to help users recover content from hard disk drive mechanisms.
Forensic Field Kit
combines WiebeTech’s Forensic DriveDock and a FireWire DriveDock along with power supplies, accessories and cables in a field-deployable Pelican case. It’s compatible with recent versions of Mac OS, as well as Linux and recent Windows releases.
The Forensic DriveDock is a write-blocked FireWire bridge device developed for 3.5-inch IDE-based hard disk drives. The FireWire DriveDock is a fully enabled FireWire bridge solution. The power supply can support two drives simultaneously. Also included are two FireWire data cables and a dual-port FireWire host PC card, all contained within the Pelican Case.
No drivers are needed to get the individual components of the Forensic Field Kit working, according to WiebeTech.
The Forensic Field Kit is now available. Wiebetech sells the kit for US$599.95.
