Aspyr Media Inc. on Tuesday announced the release of The Sims Livin’ Large Combo. The combination pack include Aspyr’s Mac conversion of The Sims release along with its first expansion pack, Livin’ Large.
Both the original The Sims game and Livin’ Large have been available separately for some time, but this is the first time both packs have been included together. The other Sims expansion sets brought to the Mac by Aspyr are still available separately.
The Sims is a simulation game that puts players in charge of simulated humans called Sims. They go about their daily life as you help them decide where they’ll live, what they’ll do for work, how they’ll spend their leisure time, how they’ll decorate their homes and myriad other minute details.
The Sims is the best-selling computer game ever, and it’s spawned a veritable legion of expansion packs that provide Sim-addicts with the ability to take their sims on vacations, take them to clubs and other hot spots, get them pets, even — most recently for the Mac — make them movie or music superstars.
System requirements call for Mac OS X, Mac OS 8.6, 9.x or later; G3/233MHz or faster; 128MB RAM; 2MB VRAM; 8x CD-ROM; 475MB hard disk space; 800×600 resolution with support for thousands of colors; QuickTime 4.0 or later.
Aspyr anticipates The Sims Livin’ Large Combo will hit store shelves beginning Monday, October 27, 2003. Users can also order the combo pack from Aspyr’s Web site now, for US$59.99.
