Alessandro Levi Montalcini’s universal USB input device configuration software USB Overdrive has been updated, this time with support for Mac OS X v10.3, “Panther.” The new version, v10.3, is ready for download from the Web site.
USB Overdrive can be used to program the extra buttons and scrollwheels on third-party mice that don’t come with their own configuration software. It’s also very useful for gamers who want to program the buttons, switches and triggers on their game controllers, especially for games that don’t otherwise support Mac OS X’s HID Manager software.
Features in USB Overdrive include multiple device support, keyboard emulation, application launching and more.
USB Overdrive v10.3 is a free update for registered users. It costs US$20 to register for new users.
