On Wednesday afternoon CE Software Inc. will post a beta version of QuicKeys X that will work on Mac OS X 10.3 (“Panther”), which goes on sale Friday.
QuicKeys X is an automation utility for Mac OS X. You can use it to record the keystrokes and mouse clicks you use for common operations, then play them back as needed. You can assign tasks to be linked to hot keys, toolbar buttons, menu selections, or configure them as timed events.
The current version, QuicKeys X2, costs US$99.95. A 30-day demo version — as well as the Panther-compatible beta — can be downloaded from the CE Software Web site.
