24U Software has introduced an integrated 24U FMDev Pack, Troi Automatisering has released Troi Dialog Plug-in 3.5 for FileMaker Pro 6 and Tabasoft has announced the availability of a free download of Biferno.
The FMDev Pack is created for FileMaker developers who want to simplify development of complex database solutions based on FileMaker Pro, according to Honza Koudelka of 24U Software. The pack contains developer licenses for 24U SimpleHelp Plug-In 1.x and 24U SimpleDialog Plug-In 1.x. 24U
FMDev Pack costs US$421. Buy it and you get the rights to bundle the 24U SimpleDialog Plug-In 1.x and 24U SimpleHelp Plug-In 1.x with all your own solutions. All your customers get the rights to use it within your solution without paying any additional charges, according to MacTech magazine.
Meanwhile, version 3.5 of Troi Dialog Plug-in, a tool for displaying various dialogs in FileMaker Pro: adds a larger input dialog function in which the user can enter long text (up to the FileMaker limit of 64,000 characters); allows you to have up to nine input fields in the InputDialog; and added the possibility to preload bulleted fields in the InputDialog.
A fully functional demo version of Troi Dialog Plug-in 3.5 is available for downloading at Troi’s Web site. It works with FileMaker Pro 6 and FileMaker Pro 5.x. The plug-in is available for Mac OS X (10.2 and higher) and Mac OS 9.1-9.2.2. Licenses cost $49 per user; if you bought Troi Dialog Plug-in 3.x on or after March 1 you’re entitled to a free upgrade.
Finally, Biferno is a new object-oriented, HTML embedded, scripting language for Web development. An open-source, cross-platform project for the Mac (OS X and the “Classic” operating system), Linux and Windows, it has a plug-in architecture that makes the language completely extensible, allowing other developer to easily add functionality through internal and external classes, Valerio Ferrucci of Tabasoft said.
