This week’s O’Reilly OS X Conference will include two different user group oriented activities, according to The MUG Center, an online resource for Mac User Groups (MUGs).
There’ll be an informal MUG gathering from 6-7:30 p.m. on Oct. 28 at the bar in the lobby of the Westin Santa Clara. Hosted by O’Reilly User Group Program Coordinator Marsee Henon and User Group Advisory Board member Lorene Romero, the event will give MUG members a chance to socialize.
On Oct. 28 and Oct. 29 user groups will have a presence on the exhibit floor when the Las Vegas Macintosh Users Group, the North Coast Macintosh Users Group and MaMUGs share a booth to represent user groups to the attendees.
Also, the next meeting of The Macintosh Business Users Society of Greater Philadelphia (MacBUS) will be held Oct. 28 at 6:30 pm. Randy Zeitman, the founder of Stone Rose Design, will present “Demystifying Search Engines — An Insider’s Introduction to Marketing Through Internet Search Engines.” The meeting will be held at the University of the Arts, 320 S. Broad Street, (Broad and Pine Streets), Philadelphia, Pa. Details can be found at the MacBUS Web site.
