Apple has made a variety of resources available to Macintosh User Group (MUG) leaders in the U.S. and Canada to help them learn about and present Mac OS 10.3 (“Panther”) to their groups.
Apple-recognized user group ambassadors can log in to Apple Sales Web to obtain these materials, and gain access to a “Mac OS X Panther QuickStart course on Apple Sales Training Online,” according to Chuck Joiner, editor-in-chief of The MUG Center. Details can be found at The MUG Center Web site, an online resource for MUGs.
In other user group news, “The Adobe Professional Association & User Group Leader Breakfast will be held on Thursday, Jan. 8, at the Argent Hotel in San Francisco. It will run in conjunction with January’s Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco. Scheduled presenters include Adobe Certified Experts Terry White and Dave Helmly.
MUGs are good places for making new friends, finding Mac-loving buddies, boning up your technical expertise, finding solutions to technical problems, and sometimes finding a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple’s User Group Web page.
