Canto, maker of Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions, has announced a new product line of server solutions that can be customized for specific user needs. System requirements for the new line is Mac OS X or Mac OS X.
The US$13,995 Business Server Solution is targeted to the workflow and e-commerce needs of business users and provides a workgroup server, three clients, Cumulus Vault and Internet Client Pro (which was previously available only as a core functionality of Canto’s Cumulus Enterprise Edition). This Business Server Solution also includes a one-year UAP (Upgrade Advantage Program).
The $4,995 Publishing Server Solution is designed for sales and marketing departments, as well as users who need to publish and market their assets to the Web. It includes a workgroup server, three clients and Web Publisher Pro, as well as a one-year UAP.
The $2,495 Archive Server Solution is built to let companies manage and archive their assets. A Workgroup server and three clients are included.
Canto says it will continue to serve high-end customers with the Mac OS X compatible Cumulus Enterprise Edition, the enterprise version of its Cumulus media asset management solution. The company also plans to offer suites to cover the general needs of market segments.
Available now is a Office Suite for Cumulus, which allows management of all Microsoft Office documents such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Early next year Canto will ship a Professional Photo Suite targeted to professional photographers dealing with high-end camera formats and news-related metadata management, such as IPTC.
