Digital video editing solution developer Media 100 Inc. announced Tuesday the development of Media 100 i v8.2.1. The software will gain support for Mac OS X v10.3 “Panther.” The new version also adds support for Power Mac G5 systems.
Media 100 is used for professional-level video editing. The company sells a variety of models and option packages for users who need features like real-time effects, color correction, DV support, advanced audio capabilities and more.
Media 100 i v8 was the first version of Media 100’s software designed to work natively in Mac OS X; since then, they’ve released v8.2, which provides new tools for editing, effects, audio and media management, as well as tighter integration with Media 100’s own custom 844/X editing solution.
Media 100 anticipates releasing Media 100 i v8.2.1 by the end of November; it’ll be a free, downloadable upgrade for all current customers that already own v8.2.
