The fourth annual EXPO (ALDEA)MAC will be held Nov. 6-8 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The event is expected to attract more than 4.000 creative professional from different areas of design and communication, Director Marcelo Alejandro Cutini told MacCentral.
November 6’s slate of “basic” classes will cover “How to charge for design work,” “Networking Macs and PCs using Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X” and “Losing your fear of Mac OS X: basic tips and tricks.” Thursday’s “expert” sessions will cover “Basic Panther: the new Mac OS X 10.3,” “Dreamweaver MX using PHP and MySQL in a Mac,” and “Advanced Panther: an in-depth look at the new Mac OS X 10.3.”
Web and graphics sessions will be the focus of the day on Friday, Nov. 7. Topics will include “Studio MX: Macromedia’s new vision,” “Flash ActionScript” and “Legibility on the Web,” “What’s new in Quark Xpress 6.0,” “Color management in design” and “Photoshop in-depth and integration with Illustrator. Digital video and music courses will be held on Saturday, including “Studio Photography — Live portrait,” “Final Cut Pro/DVD Studio Pro 2.0,” After Effects 6.0,” “Reason, a virtual studio for musical production,” “Music production for TV” and “What’s new in ProTools.”
