REAL Software Inc. has updated its REALbasic development tool to version 5.2.2, adding support for Mac OS X 10.3 (“Panther”) and an updated Project Manager.
The revamped Project Manager lets teams of developers to collaborate on a project. REALbasic 5.2.2 also has enhancements to the VB Project Converter, a utility that helps Microsoft Visual Basic users migrate existing Visual Basic projects, forms and code to REALbasic. What’s more, REALbasic’s Unicode capabilities have been improved so the development tool can support all languages.
The 5.2.2 update is free to all existing REALbasic 5 for Mac customers and can be obtained directly from REAL Software’s Web site. For new users, pricing starts at US$399.95. REALbasic 5 was released in July; see our July 8 article for details.
