Apple will be an exhibitor at the 2004 BETT, the exhibition for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in Education that takes place at London’s Olympia from January 7-10. Pre-registration is now underway.
BETT 2003 attracted over 500 exhibitors and more than 24,000 visitors. “It’s a crucial event for companies offering IT-based solutions for the UK’s education sector, and Apple traditionally uses the event to demonstrate its wares,” according to Macworld UK. The educational event may also be the UK’s first chance to see new products announced at January’s Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco, Calif.
Earlier this year — and for the third year running — Apple won BETT awards at the tech ed event. The flat panel iMac received top hardware prize in the secondary schools category. The company’s iDVD won a prize last year, while AirPort and iBook brought home prizes in 2001.
