ComGrafix Inc. has updated RagTime for Mac OS X 10.3 (“Panther”) compatibility and released new plug-ins for use with the application suite. Dubbed the “Swiss Army Knife” of office software, it includes software for creating spreadsheets, doing annual reports, generating catalogues and price lists, performing calculations and displaying them in graphical form.
RagTime costs US$695, though volume and educational discounts are available. Upgrades from previous versions are $385; updates to the Panther compatible version are $260.
The new RagTime plug-ins are FileTime and GeoInsight. FileTime is a $185 dynamic link from FileMaker Pro to RagTime that lets you import FM Pro data into a RagTime inventory list. GeoInsight is a $295 thematic mapping plug-in that lets you plot symbols, colors, and tints on zip code or polygon maps.
