Lynda Weinman of Lynda.com, an online training resource, and author Colin Smith from PhotoshopCAFE.com, an online resource for Photoshop users, have joined the lineup of educators and presenters for the Southern California MacFair 2003, which will be held Nov. 14-16 at Cerritos College in Norwalk, Calif.
Southern California’s largest Mac event will be home to over 24 seminars,14 workshops and over 35 vendor exhibitions. Weinman will hold hands-on Dreamweaver and Flash workshops. Adobe will hold three presentations to showcase the new Creative Suite (CS) products. Other sessions will look at Mac OS X 10.3 (“Panther”), Final Cut Pro 4 (conducted by editor David Barrett), DVD Studio Pro 2 (overseen by DVD producer/author Bruce Nazarian), database development, small business solutions, Web design, audio production, MovieWorks, iPhoto and more.
The full and half-day classes cost US$59-$99 per workshop. Due to limited Mac stations in each lab, space is limited and advance registration is encouraged, according to Keith Mueller, show manager.
Hands-on workshops and classes are scheduled Friday through Sunday, Nov. 14-16. The vendor expo and presentation seminars are on tap for Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 15-15, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission for both the vendor expo and seminars is $20 (cash only) at the door. Advance online registration is $14. Parking is free on Saturday and Sunday. Details and online registration can be found at the MacFair Web site.
