Kanguru Solutions on Thursday released the Kanguru iNAS-100S, a standalone network attached storage device that allows users to store and share files across a network or over the Internet.
The storage device can be used to store images, software updates, graphic files, word documents, scanned documents, and more. It automatically recognizes and supports a variety of operating systems (including Mac OS X, Mac OS 9.x, Windows and Linux) and comes with built-in DHCP, DNS servers, and DDNS support.
The Kanguru iNAS-100S comes with a 4-port cable/DSL router so a network can be created. For security purposes, the Kanguru iNAS-100S comes with a built-in firewall and an administration interface that enables an administrator to define users, set passwords and permissions to control access to data. Starting at US$649, the Kanguru iNAS-100S is available in 120GB, 200GB and 250GB models.
